Jaipur, 18 January: Under the stewardship of the General Secretary of Princess Diya Kumari Foundation (PDKF), Princess Gauravi Kumari, an informal round table discussion of social and Non Governmental Organisations (NGOs) was convened at the City Palace recently. Princess Gauravi said that the objective was to get to know in what areas were different organisations involved for betterment of women. She emphasised that PDKF would also like to get involved in their respective initiatives from time to time.
The representatives of each of the organisations shared details about their ongoing projects. While outlining their area of work, it was informed that these organisations were involved in women livelihood, health and development, menstrual hygiene, education, even training women drivers, not only for auto rickshaws, but also trucks.
The organisations that attended the meeting included Naya Sawera, We Care, Azad Foundation, Aanchal Child Homes, Saksham, All India Welfare Society, Praveen Lata Sansthan, SK Foundation, Niwala Kamla Bai Charitable Trust, Pink City Rickshaw Company among others. Their representatives agreed to work in collaboration with the PDKF.
Earlier, General Manager, PDKF, Ms Deepti Singh outlined the activities of the organisation. Also present on the occasion was Executive Trustee of MSMS II Museum, Ms Rama Datt.
