Kochi, June 17, 2023 - The highly anticipated EmerGenz-2023, the 2nd edition of the Aster International Emergency Medicine Conclave, was officially inaugurated by Padma Shri Dr. Prakash Baba Amte, a renowned social worker from Maharashtra and recipient of the Magsaysay Award in 2008.
Addressing the enthusiastic audience, Dr. Prakash Baba Amte shared his transformative experience, stating, "My father's vision opened my eyes to the tribal lifestyle, which deeply affected my mindset. It led me to dedicate myself to the betterment of others. Initially, the tribals lacked faith in modern medicine, but through persuasion and their word of mouth, thousands started visiting our clinics. Despite the challenges of limited resources and education, we received overwhelming support from the community. Our only religion is humanity, through which we received lots of love and support from society. I am extremely grateful to Aster DM Healthcare for giving me this opportunity to share my experiences."
EmerGenz-2023 has attracted an impressive participation of over 1000 resource persons and doctors from the UK, USA, Qatar, and India. Running from June 16 to 18, this three-day conclave offers a diverse program featuring nearly 60 topics related to Emergency Medicine in its scientific sessions. With the aim of strengthening the foundation of knowledge in emergency medicine, the event promises to be a significant gathering for healthcare professionals.
During the conclave, the Aster EM (Emergency Medicine) Network paid homage to Dr. Vandana Das, expressing solidarity with healthcare professionals across India. This commemoration stands as a symbol of the team's united support for frontline workers in their noble endeavor to heal people.
EmerGenz-2023 focuses on case-based discussions and in-depth exploration of various symptomatology to enhance the understanding of emergency medicine. The conference is particularly beneficial for medical professionals working in areas such as the ED, ICU, ambulances, or those managing their own departments and OPDs. Additionally, the conclave features competitions, oral presentations, and scenario-based discussions.
