Jaipur, 19 April: Rajsamand MP, Diya Kumari today visited the protest site in Jaipur where the family members of suicide victim Ramprasad Meena, a resident of Chandi ki Taksal, were holding a ‘dharna’ to demand justice for his suicide. MP Diya Kumari offered her condolences to the grieving family and enquired about the developments in the case.
During her visit, MP Diya Kumari highlighted the fact that the late Ramprasad Meena had a valid lease for his land and was prevented from building his house on it by the municipal corporation. She said that this injustice was likely facilitated by corrupt land mafia and officers.
MP Diya Kumari expressed her concern that such gross injustice was happening right under the nose of the government and urged the authorities to take action against the culprits. She assured the victim's family of her support and pledged to continue the fight for justice until they receive it.
The MP called on the government to take swift action against corruption and to provide speedy justice and support to the victim's family. She emphasized the need for the state government to take preventative measures to ensure that such shameful incidents are not repeated in the future.
