The Indian era of the G20 Presidency kicked off on Sunday at Udaipur with the 1st Sherpa Meeting of G20 led by India’s G20 Sherpa, Mr. Amitabh Kant. Udaipur, the city of lakes, hosted the first high-level Sherpa Meeting, which fell under the Sherpa track of G20, from 4th to 7th December and is set to showcase India’s rich culture and the tradition of Atithi Devo Bhava to the G20 family.
Mr. Amitabh Kant, India’s G20 Sherpa wrote on twitter, “The Royal state of Rajasthan is world renowned for its warm hospitality & historical splendour. It’s a symbolic beginning for #G20India to start showcasing our Indian tradition of #AtithiDevoBhava from Udaipur in Rajasthan. We welcome the @g20org family into our home.”
