Jaipur, 20 June: On the occasion of the 8th International Yoga Day (21 June), a 3-day yoga camp began at the Sarvatobhadra Chowk of City Palace today as a part of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav. This camp is being organized under the joint aegis of Maharaja Sawai Mansingh II Museum Trust, Rangreet Sansthan and Ritanveshi Yogayan Foundation in Jaipur. There is no fess for attendees. In the camp, yoga training is being provided by the Director of Ritanveshi Yogayan Foundation and human consciousness & yoga expert, Dr Rajesh Raj Yogiraj. People of different age groups are actively participating in this yoga camp.
The camp started with lighting the lamp along with ’Ganpati Stuti' in Dhrupad. Yogacharya, Dr Rajesh Raj started ‘Surya Namaskar’ along with chanting mantras. During this, he explained the importance of meditation and ‘Surya Namaskar’ in life. Along with this, he also explained how one can be connected with his life through yoga. He said that the practice of yoga establishes the unity of body, mind, thought, and action as well as perfection and harmony between man and nature. During this, Shri RD Gaur made yoga practice more enjoyable with the melody of the flute.
Camp coordinator & Vedic painter, Ramu Ramdev said that the purpose of the camp is to promote yoga and to develop society through yoga and its holistic development. The camp was conducted by Falguni Sharma, Prateek Vyas and Rajesh Chauhan as ‘Yogacharya’ on behalf of the Ritanveshi Yogayan Foundation. It is to be noted that the camp will be held from 9 am to 10 am till 22 June daily. In this 3-day camp, a special emphasis will be given on the health benefits of ‘Surya Namaskar’ along with general yoga practices, Sahaja Yoga, Pranayama, and the process of meditation.
