Jaipur. 11 May: Travel planner and tour operators across country will arrive in Jaipur in the month of July for the second edition of Rajasthan Domestic Travel Mart being jointly organised by Rajasthan Tourism and Federation of Hospitality and Tourism Rajasthan (FHTR) from July 22-24, 2022. Rajasthan Domestic Travel Mart (RDTM) would provide a platform to all the hoteliers, travel agents/tour operators of Rajasthan to showcase their products to travel agents from all across India.
Along with its cultural and royal heritage, Rajasthan also charms visitors with its wildlife, eco-rural, wellness, leisure, pilgrimage, weddings etc. The Rajasthan Tourism Policy has further accentuated scope of Rural Tourism, Film Tourism, and Heritage Tourism. The conducive policy and efforts from the department has helped the sector to achieve a speedy recovery from the pandemic lows. Support from the stakeholders has further ensured availability of diverse and better services for the tourists within the state while showcasing them on domestic and global platforms.
For the promotion of RDTM and to publicise the various initiatives taken by Rajasthan Tourism such as the recently launched Rajasthan Film Tourism Promotion Policy, 2022., Guest House scheme, Revised Homestay (PG) scheme, Revised Heritage Guidelines, a series of road shows are being organized in different cities of Rajasthan. The first Road show is being organized on 12 May at Hotel Clarks Amer, Jaipur. It will be attended by Minister of Tourism, Government of Rajasthan, Shri Vishvendra Singh. This roadshow will be followed by others in Udaipur, Jodhpur, Bikaner, Mandawa etc. These roadshows will address the issues of investors also who have signed MOU’s and Letter of Intent last year for investment in Tourism sector in different cities of Rajasthan, India and abroad.
The Road Shows will also offer a platform for the different stakeholders to discuss and connect for synchronised growth of the sector. The event has drawn support from other government agencies such as Bureau of Investment Promotion and trade associations including Hotels and Restaurants Association of Rajasthan (HRAR), Indian Heritage Hotels Association (IHHA), and Rajasthan Association of Tour Operations (RATO).
The domestic tourists have been driving the post COVID recovery of tourism sector. The RDTM has been a unique initiative by Rajasthan Tourism department to extend a public-private platform for showcasing the immense possibilities in Rajasthan and facilitate structured B2B meetings. The first RDTM has been a major success inspiring the department to plan its second edition. A MoU was thus signed on April 6, 2022 between the State Government's department and FHTR for organizing the 'Rajasthan Domestic Travel Mart.
