Nanjangud: BJP MLA B Harshavardhan met the family members of those who lost their girl children while playing a hide-and-seek game in an ice cream freezer in Masage village, Nanjangud taluk.
The MLA visited the village and offered condolences as well as financial assistance to the parents who lost their daughters. He also said that he was shocked by the unfortunate incident.
The girls who accidentally died were - Bhagya Naik (12) daughter of Nagaraja Naik and Chikkadevamma and Kavya Naik (7) daughter of Raju Naik and Gowramma. Last Wednesday, the girls while playing the hide-and-seek game chose to hide in a defunct ice cream freezer. After stepping into the box, they locked themselves. None had suspected that the girls had hidden in the box because it was not functioning. They suffocated to death.
