Jaipur 20 April: The play 'Kenchuli' will be staged under the fortnightly drama scheme on Saturday, 23 April at Jawahar Kala Kendra (JKK) as a part of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav. The play is based on a story by Padmashree Vijaydan Detha. The play has been directed by Nilesh Kumar Deepak and its playwright is Suman Kumar. The event will be held at JKK's Rangayan at 7 pm. Entry to the play is ticketed.
The stories of Vijayadan Detha describe the problems of the common people, their repressed desires, exposing the degenerative degradation of humanity and the ironic evils of society in a cosmic manner. The story ‘Kenchuli’ explores the many unsettling issues of a woman's mind and offers self-realization of her own battles.
Paribhasha Mishra, Dilip Gupta, Rahul, Ganesh Gaurav, Pooja, Gaurav Kumar, Vaibhavi, Adil and Virat will be performing in the play. Along with this, music, vocals and Tabla will be presented by Lakhan Lal Ahirwal, Harmonium by Satish Kumar, Sarangi by Anil Mishra and vocals by Rajeev Ranjan and Deepak Thakur.
Harijas - Lok Bhajan
On Sunday, 24 April, Jawahar Kala Kendra and Jajam Foundation will be organizing 'Harijas - Lok Bhajan' as a part of 'Lok Sangeet Ka Jajam'. The programme will be presented by Padmashree Anwar Khan Manganiyar at 7 am at JKK Lawn. Entry to the event will be free and on a first-come-first-served basis.
