Kozhikode: April 12, 2022: Calicut Mayor Dr. Beena Philip has inaugurated the Waste Management unit at Govt. Cyberpark. The plant was installed as part of Cyberpark's waste-free movement. The automatic food waste processor machine installed at the park will convert all organic waste into compost. The food waste machine, which is developed by CREDAI, will allow the Cyberpark to manage organic waste on campus for the first time. The plant, which has been installed at the Sahya Building, can process 100 Kilo biowaste in a day.
"The Mayor appreciates Cyberpark for its efforts in making Kerala a waste-free society. Innovative models in waste management like this will help society at a large other institutions should also adapt this," the Mayor said. Dr. Beena also mentioned about the possibility of setting up the Municipality's Collection facility centre at Cyberpark.
