A first of its kind global dialogue on education leadership on March 24th and 25th from 4.00pm -10.00pm

Bengaluru, 22.03.2022: InvokED is a first of a kind virtual event bringing together education leaders, practitioners, academicians, market players, teachers and students from across the globe for a dialogue on how education leadership can be enabled to bring sustainable and systemic change to India's education ecosystem. Organised by ShikshaLokam, InvokED will be held on March 24th and March 25th from 4.00pm to 10.00pm. The conversations will lay a platform for collective action, highlight the challenges faced by Indian education leaders and also recognise the progress that has been made so far. InvokED is intended to provide a collective spark of inspiration to help educational leaders transform the state of Indian education.

The focus of InvokED will be establishing a sense of urgency around the need for effective leadership to drive sustainable reforms. Empowering education leaders is key to lasting and sustainable change as they will be pivotal in helping reform efforts adapt to complex, dynamic and unforeseen problems. The sessions will cover the tactics and tools for education leaders to drive change in their systems, and detail the roles that private industry, the government and civil society will play in building education leadership.

The speakers include S.D. Shibulal (Founder, Shikshalokam; Co-Founder, Infosys), Nandan Nilekani (Co-Founder and Chairperson, EkStep Foundation; Co-Founder and Chairman, Infosys), Srinivas R.(Srinivas R. Katikithala, Director, Lal Bahadur Shastri National Academy of Administration, Government of India), Aparna Purohit (Head of India Originals  Amazon Prime Video), Dr. Santhosh Mathew (Country Lead Social and Public Finance Policy, Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation) and Sanjay Kumar (Additional Chief Secretary, Education Department Bihar).  Shruti Shibulal (CEO & Director, Tamara), Sundeep Talwar (Chief Marketing Officer, The Akshaya Patra Foundation), Arun Maira (Former Chairman, Boston Consulting Group) and Jody Spiro (Director of Education Leadership, The Wallace Foundation) amongst others.

The first InvokED Dialogue is the next step in ShikshaLokam’s journey of catalysing collective action to recognise and enable education leadership in the country.” says Mr. Shibulal, the Founder of ShikshaLokam.

“We are excited to host the first InvokED, bringing together the best minds from across the globe to discuss education leadership on a common platform.
