Jaipur, 21 March: School of Architecture & Design, Manipal University Jaipur (MUJ) organized a 5-day ICT based Short Term Programme (STP), ‘Disaster Management & Sustainable Development’ in association with NITTTR, Chandigarh recently. The STP aimed to introduce various seismic safety practices adopted in building construction.
The inaugural session of the STP was attended by dignitaries from all the remote centres. Dr Sanjay Sharma and Dr Amit Goyal from NITTTR, Chandigarh briefed about the highlights of the STP. Dr Madhura Yadav, Dean, Faculty of Design from Manipal University Jaipur was also present on the occasion. She expressed the necessity of the programme in the present scenario. Prof. Sunanda Kapoor, Head, School of Architecture & Design explained the innovative practices which are being adopted at Manipal University Jaipur for preparing the students for industry. The STP was attended by more than 150 participants.
