A South Indian Twist: Joshlaunches theSouth Super Party

KOCHI:Josh, India’s fastest growing and most engaged short-video app,kickstartsa first of its kind IP, the ‘South Super Party’ from March 10th – 23rd for the entire South Indian audience. In collaboration with Red FM 93.5, the South Super Party aims at engaging thefour main South Indian language communities from the Tamil, Malayalam, Kannada and Telugu speaking audiences across Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, and Telangana. With a catchy and engaging anthem setting tune to the event, the four communities will compete to showcase the authenticity of their language and culture. Calling upon participation from each language community,contestants will have to create videos that highlights their state’s beauty, pride, and uniqueness, among others. The state with the best content will be declared as the winner and will receive the opportunity to host South India’s biggest party, the South Super Party on 2nd April 2022.

To create competition amongst the four prominent South Indian languages, participants have been clubbed under the following teams: #TamilThalaivas, #MalayaliJunction, #SiriGannadaand #TeluguMirchis. The participants will have to promote their respective teams by creating relevant short-video content on the Josh app.

Gracing the event aresome of southern India’s biggest influencers and the state team leads such as:

  • GP Muthu, AkshayPartha, Felina Lobo, Jani Dreamer and Dhanush – Tamil Nadu
  • Akhil Cj, Divin P, Meenu Lakshmi and Sandra – Kerala
  • Diksha Panth, Razaaqraj, Santhosh and Rithu – Andhra & Telangana
  • Iti Acharya, Pavi Padukone and Sam Sameer – Karnataka

Based on the total number of video creation, video quality and the state which holds the highest number of local language videos, the winner will be announced at the end of the campaign. The scores will be out daily and will be promoted across platforms and on air to boost content creation across all four languages. The winning state will get a chance to host the biggest South Super Party.

This event is about creating a variety of opportunities for influencers and providing a better understanding of the different types of content that can be showcased. We are focused on building connections locally by encouraging creators to share exciting and entertaining content that their communities love.
