Kolkata, 11th March, 2022: Sanmarg, the largest and most widely read Hindi daily of Eastern India hosted the second edition of the prestigious Sanmarg Business Awards, 2022 by honouring business leaders of Bengal at Hyatt Regency, Kolkata.
In addition to recognizing the excellence and successes of entrepreneurs, the Sanmarg Business Awards 2022 also seek to inspire a resilient spirit, creative strategies, consideration for community projects and overall financial targets accomplished by business houses. This initiative will guarantee the finest selection of industry awards; create a confluence of corporate leaders, celebrity icons & famous personalities all on a single platform.

The Jury for the Sanmarg Business Awards, 2022 were Mrs. Priti A Sureka (Director, Emami Ltd.); Mr.Rajive Kaul (Chairman, Nicco Engineering Services Ltd.); Mr.Sanjay Budhia (MD, PATTON Group) & Mr. Utsav Parekh (Director, SMIFS Caital Services Ltd.).
There are two types of Sanmarg Business Awards: Excellence Awards and Distinguished Awards. The winners of the Excellence Awards will be picked from among the business houses' applications. Moore Singhi, our knowledge partner, will screen the entries. Shortlisted applications will be presented to our distinguished jury for final consideration. The Distinguished Awards are direct awards given to pioneers/leaders for their great contributions in their fields, as determined by an illustrious panel on board. In this category, there are a total of 4 awards.
We held a startup drive this year called "Naveen Soch Ki Khoj," in which we asked startups to apply. We received over 100 submissions, and our venture partner, Mumbai Angels Network, selected seven firms for further consideration. Our judges then interviewed these 7 startups, resulting in the selection of the three startups who would give their presentation on stage during the event. The final winner for the Sanmarg Naveen Soch Award will be decided based on their pitch and questioning from Nandani Manisinghka (Co-founder and CEO of Mumbai Angels Network), Vivek Gupta (Chairman, Sanmarg group) and Vipul Bhandari (Chairman & Managing Director, Supertron Electronics Pvt. Ltd.). We'd also be pleased to put them in touch with investors after the pitch.
