Jaipur : Rajsamand MP, Diya Kumari today expressed her gratitude to both the Prime Minister, Narendra Modi and the Finance Minister, Nirmala Sitharaman for presenting a holistic budget. She said that the budget envisions the progress of India through Amrit Kaal and even sets out a vision for India at 100. She was participating in the budget debate in the Parliament.
She thanked the Prime Minister for working tirelessly to develop ‘Made in India’ vaccines and vaccinating crores of people which helped mitigate the effects of the coronavirus and contain its spread. Today the country’s economy is growing by 9% which ranks among the highest in the major economies of the world. Similarly, the ‘Make in India’ campaign has showcased the world that world-class manufacturing can indeed happen in India. This campaign has helped in increasingly creating more jobs. The budget for 2022-23, she said was a forward-looking and development oriented and has the potential to be a game changer.
The MP stated that the Budget will sow the seeds for development that will be sustained for decades. Furthermore, the Government has clearly signalled its intention of working with the states by allocating an unprecedented Rs 1 lakh crore interest free loans. In terms of infrastructure, the budget envisions adding a further 25,000 km to the National Highway Network which will ensure much needed connectivity even to rural areas and remote villages. The expansion of the ‘Jal Jeevan Mission’ with significant allocation of Rs 60,000 crores and the interlinking of the six rivers will ensure, ‘Har Ghar Jal’. While focussing on technology for improving the lives of the poor and underprivileged, there are initiatives to support women and children as well. Initiatives such as using digital currencies and extension of Saksham Anganwadis are to be noted. In fact, the provisions in the budget are such that will help ensure women leading the nation’s developmental efforts.
While closing her speech, Diya Kumari said, here is a budget that exemplifies strong and vibrant India which will play an important role in ensuring peace and prosperity in an increasingly divided world.
