Dubai, UAE: Bollywood singers Shaan and Papon have confirmed they will play a sensational live outdoor show together next month in Dubai. The popular duo will perform in front of an expected 5,000 fans at Dubai Tennis Stadium on Saturday, March 5.
Shaan is considered one of Bollywood’s most versatile playback singers and host of Sa Re Ga Ma Pa and Star Voice of India, while Papon is one of India’s most recognisable, sought-after voices, as well as a multi-instrumentalist, composer, and producer. Fans can expect a mesmerising night of musical melodies covering a wide variety of genres by the singers, including their Bollywood hits as well as some classical and folk-fusion too.
“I’ve played in Dubai before by myself and it’s always so exciting and overwhelming to perform in front of the emirate’s super-enthusiastic audience”, said Shaan, who is expected to perform fan favourites such as Chand Sifarish, Behti Hawa Sa Tha Woh, and Jab Se There Naina. “This time I will be sharing the stage with the inimitable Papon – not just an amazing performer, but also a very dear friend. The plan is for a very interesting collaborative set that will both excite and surprise the audience.”
Papon, whose music is rooted in folk and includes songs such as Banao, Kyun and Humnava, added: “I'm really happy and looking forward to coming back to Dubai to perform again after a long break. The excitement is doubled because I'll be performing with Shaan, who's like a brother and a dear friend. It will be interesting for the audience to watch us do our music individually and jam together. I'm genuinely excited about what promises to be a very special night."
The two playback stars are expected to take to the stage at 8pm, with doors opening 2 hours earlier. The Dubai Tennis Stadium is committed to ensuring the health and safety of all attendees, with government guidelines being carefully implemented.
