Jaipur : Organized under the auspices of ‘Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav’, on the sixth day of the 11-day Lokrang, the spectators at JKK witnessed diverse cultural performances in Madhyavarti and Shilpgram. The highlights of the day were the ‘Swang Nritya’ of Sahariya, ‘Tejaji' singing of Rajasthan, and ‘Bhangra’ of Punjab at Madhyavarti in JKK. The spectators were thrilled by the performances of ‘Raas’ and ‘Holi’ dance (Dang), of Gujarat, ‘Sirmour Nati’ of Himachal Pradesh, ‘Chappeli’ dance of Uttarakhand, ‘Rauf’ dance of Jammu and Kashmir, ‘Ghoomar’ of Haryana, and ‘Bardoi Sikhala’ dance of Assam.
The 'Arjuna Nritham’ of Kerala was also presented on Tuesday as part of the series, 'Rhythm of Kerala' that will be held till 22 December.
Some mesmerizing performances were also held in the Shilpgram area of JKK. The artistes from Rajasthan presented Bhopa singing, Algoja, the magic show, Rajasthani dance, etc. There was also ‘Nachar’ dance of Punjab, ‘Garasiya’ dance of Sirohi, ‘Been’ of Haryana, ‘Bihu’ of Assam, among others. Furthermore, award-winning craftsmen are also displaying and selling their products at the National Handicrafts Fair at Shilpgram
Tomorrow (22 December) various folk presentations will be organized in the 'Lokrang-2021' from 6.30 pm at Madhyavarti in JKK. These performances will include ‘Bihu’ and ‘Bordai Sikhala’ dances of Assam, ‘Jhumar’ of Punjab, ‘Ghoomar’ of Haryana, ‘Sirmouri Nati’ of Himachal Pradesh, and ‘Rauf’ of Jammu and Kashmir, among others. From 4.30 pm to 6 pm at Shilpgram in JKK, there will be Shehnai-Nagada, Kacchi Ghodi, Kathputli, Behrupiya, Bhapand Vadan, Teratali, among other performances.
