iwonder adds Prime Video Channels to basketful of ways to watch the world’s top documentaries

From today, Amazon Prime members will now be able to access top documentaries and factual films from all over the world, with the launch of Prime Video Channels, featuring iwonder.

Prime Video Channels will allow customers to get even more out of their Prime membership by adding the channels they love for a monthly subscription fee, with the convenience of a single account login and user experience, which can be cancelled at any time. As a launch partner, iwonder is among a hand-picked selection of Australia’s most popular and in-demand services, underpinning Amazon Prime Video’s growing reputation as the home of great value premium entertainment.

Since launching in Australia in 2019, iwonder has secured a number of high-profile platform partnerships to provide ever-growing numbers of documentary fans with access to its unrivalled library of top content, with the debut on Prime Video Channels representing a stellar addition to existing carriage partnerships with 7Plus, Telstra TV, Apple TV, Android TV, and most recently Fetch TV and Optus SubHub (launching in December).

iwonder also features homepage content integrations with news partners including Reuters and DW News, serving subscribers with documentary recommendations selected to provide a deeper dive into hot topics associated with breaking news, both in Australia and around the world.

iwonder CEO, James Bridges, says of the launch with Prime Video Channels “When it comes to delivering quality, choice and value for millions of people in Australia and around the world, there is no bigger name than Amazon, and we’re incredibly excited to be part of this launch, helping ever-growing numbers of Australians to explore their passion for documentaries. Our launch with Prime Video Channels marks a major step for iwonder, as we continue to make it easier and more enticing for people to get on board with the world’s top documentaries through an ever-growing range of platforms, apps and partners.”

“We are excited to bring even more selection to our Prime members in Australia with the launch of Prime Video Channels,” said Hushidar Kharas, head of Amazon Prime Video Australia. “We are simplifying our customers’ entertainment experience, making it even easier for them to select, subscribe, and enjoy their favourite TV shows and movies from top channel providers like iwonder, all within the Prime Video app.”

With access to iwonder comes its extensive library of over 1,000 documentaries and factual films, including fan favourites from many of the world’s most prestigious film festivals, including Cannes, Sundance, Hot Docs and more. Current highlights available to stream today, include:

The Pickup Game - An inside look at the multi-million dollar 'pickup' industry - a business where self-styled seduction coaches charge a small fortune to teach men skills that they claim will guarantee success with women.

Eating Animals - The film explores the notion of stepping away from the industrial meat farming practices of the past 40 years that have polluted our environment, endangered our health, and caused us to be complicit in the inhumane treatment of animals.

The Kleptocrats - The astonishing story of the world’s biggest white-collar heist involving government corruption at the highest level, abuse of power and international money laundering leading to the conviction of the former Malaysian Prime Minister.

A Song Called Hate (Coming soon) - the up-close story of how Iceland’s entry in the Eurovision song contest set out to use Tel Aviv’s hosting of the 2019 event to draw attention to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, facing down opposition, hostility and intimidation in the process.
