Nanjangud (Mysuru): The people of Nanjungud town would be fortunate enough to see the live coverage of the visit of Prime Minister, Mr. Narendra Modiji, on November 5 to the Kedarnath temple in Uttarkhand and inaugurate the reconstructed Samadhi of Shri Adi Shankaracharya.
An LED screen would be erected at Kalamandir, located adjacent to the Srikanteshwara temple to facilitate witnessing the live coverage of the Prime Minister offering prayers at the Kedarnath temple and inaugurating the Samadhi between 10.30 and 11.00 am, according to Nanjungud MLA B Harshavardhan.
To mark the occasion, the BJP has invited sadhus and devotees to be part of the nationwide celebrations. Many temples across the country would be joining the Prime Minister in a virtual world. In Karnataka, the temples chosen are Sri Dharmasthala Manjunath, Malemahadeshwara Hills temple and Srikanteshwara temple of Nanjugud. Hundreds of people are expected to assemble at the Kalamandir to witness the event the MLA has said.
A 12 ft statue of Sri Shankaracharya would be unveiled at the Samadhi. Interestingly, the statue is sculpted by Mysuru-based sculptor Arun Yogiraj.
