Dubai: Pai Thai, Dubai’s most authentic Thai restaurant at Jumeirah Al Qasr, has curated a special Songkran three-course sharing menu in celebration of the Thai New Year. Available between 11-17 April, diners can enjoy an elevated taste of Thailand experience, with festive decorations and a daily prize raffle.
Featuring traditional dishes prepared during the Thai New Year, the three-course set menu includes a variety of dishes from across Thailand. Starters include a choice of Pha Talay (mixed seafood salad with lemongrass and chilli paste); Poo Jah (deep fried minced chicken and crab meat with water chestnut); and Chor Muang (purple flower chicken dumpling with fried onion, peanut and sweet soy sauce).
For mains, diners can choose from a variety of dishes, including Goong Gra Tiem Prik Thai (crispy prawn with garlic and green pepper sauce); Gaeng Pa Gai (spicy jungle chicken curry with eggplant and hot basil); or Pla Paw (grilled marinated seabass wrapped in banana leaves), all served with sides of wok-fried vegetables and steamed jasmine rice. The feast is rounded off on a sweet note with a classic Thai dessert, Kao Niew Ma Maug (sweet sticky rice with ripe mango and coconut syrup).
In keeping with the authentic Thai New Year rituals, guests will be greeted by a traditional water ceremony on arrival and enjoy Songkran decorations that adorn the restaurant including a traditional hand-made dragon boat and a Thai temple display for a festive ambiance. Guests will also have the chance to win a gift box of authentic goodies imported from Thailand, sponsored by the Royal Thai Consulate-General, Dubai, through a daily raffle draw taking place at Pai Thai every evening.
