"I love chocolate. I don't eat it, but I enjoy its scent. There are people who drink with their eyes – I simply eat with my nose", Karl Lagerfeld. Now the German start-up Yabbaduu has invented the world's first smelling chocolate.
It's a small box full of happiness with only 0,35 oz content. But the effect is equivalent to a total of 200 bars of chocolate. Yabbaduu was developed by 2 biohackers from Germany.
"The way to the brain is through the nose," says Fabian List, one of the founders of Yabbaduu. But how exactly does the chocolate drug work? "We used a complex process to extract the scent from organically grown cocoa beans. You massage Yabbaduu under your nose and on your nose bridge. The chocolate-smelling balm activates opioid receptors in the brain and immediately triggers feelings of happiness."
Numerous medical studies show that just the smell of chocolate makes you happy and releases dopamine and endorphins.
Yabbaduu is pure chocolate pleasure without the chocolate. The small 0,35 oz can of happiness is enough for 200 applications, and a single application lasts for up to 1 hour. That's the equivalent of 200 bars of chocolate and without a single calorie, without any sugar or fat.
