New York, NY : Bonamaze’s directing duo, filmmakers Gilad Avnat & Stav Nahum, recently released their new film short “NYC! Sound (back) On”- a creative art-meets-sound narrative that pays tribute to New York City’s vibrant culture.
As New Yorkers eagerly awaited a full reopening, the Bonamaze directing duo decided to celebrate the spirit of the city with the release of their new short, “NYC! Sound (back) On.” The goal of this creative, audio-visual homage is to capture the heartbeat of the Big Apple like never before, with a special emphasis on sound that brings the city’s diverse culture to vibrant life.
Audiences get a glimpse into the hustle-and-bustle of New York City streets & subways, fashion week divas, DJ’s, eclectic displays of self-expression, and an inside peek into its legendary parties.
Bonamaze filmmakers Gilad Avnat & Stav Nahum’s creative use of accentuated sound in “NYC! Sound (back) On,” won them a feature as Vimeo Staff Pick of the Month, and creates a compelling journey through capturing the magic of New York City. The short film evokes a visceral nostalgia for pre-pandemic life that New Yorker’s recently got to experience at “We Love NYC: The Homecoming Concert”.
According to Bonamaze’s creative duo, there was a personal connection and passion behind their new, artistic audio-visual homage to New York City.
“We felt it was important to give a tribute to New York City’s cultural diversity, and capture the re-awakening of this vibrant place following COVID shut-downs.”
