“India is on the path of spiritual renaissance,” says Shri Devusinh Chauhan ji

“India is on the path of spiritual renaissance,” says Shri Devusinh Chauhan ji

Mumbai / Hyderabad, 14 February 2024: On the occasion of the 125st birth anniversary celebrations of Babuji Maharaj, the second in the lineage of guides of Shri Ram Chandra Mission, a Commemorative Postage Stamp of Babuji Maharaj was released at Kanha Shanti Vanam – the Headquarters of Heartfulness in the outskirts of Hyderabad. This also coincides with 151st birth anniversary of Lalaji Maharaj – the first in the lineage of the guides. Honourable Shri Devusinh Chauhan – Minister of State for Communications of India, who was the Chief Guest to the event released the postage stamp in the Divine Presence of Rev. Daaji – Guide of Heartfulness and President of Shri Ram Chandra Mission. The event began by group Heartfulness meditation led by Rev. Daaji. The other highlight was special Bhajan soulfully rendered by sisters Shilpa Srinivasan and Vineeta Venkataraman. Over 20,000 participants from around the world from all walks of life flocked to the world’s largest meditation centre at Kanha Shanti Vanam. Thousands of others joined the celebrations virtually.

Honourable Shri Devusinh Chauhan – Minister of State for Communications of India was felicitated by Rev. Daaji on the occasion. Addressing the gathering, Honourable Shri Devusinh Chauhan ji spoke with high reverence for Daaji and said that Daaji was aptly honoured by the Padma Bhushan. He added, “Babuji brought the Sahaj Marg as the most simplistic path and tool for awakening consciousness. To be simple is the most difficult. Daaji is the idol for the youth today. It is a very special moment. India is on the path of renaissance of its spiritual force. Daaji is bringing transformation on many levels from spiritualism to agriculture to many areas of life. We must make India progress by overcoming the slave mentality. We must be proud of our heritage – this is a precious moment when we can pledge to bring the change. We must all take to Sahaj Marg to stay from unwanted corruption and unwanted attachment/greed/passion – if each one of us can do this then India will show unprecedented progress.”

Rev. Daaji – Guide of Heartfulness and President of Shri Ram Chandra Mission said, “It is a very special occasion as the Greatest Spiritual Scientist of our times, Pujya Babuji Maharaj is being honoured by the Govt of India by releasing this commemorative stamp on his 125th Birth Anniversary Celebrations. Special thanks to my dear brother Shri Devusinh Chauhan Minister of State for Communications of India for doing this honour by visiting us for the second time.” Rev. Daaji also explained the concept of Pranahuti -  a perfect state of balance, “Only a yogi of high calibre can transmit such energy. Such grace descends on such occasions such as Basant Panchami when unlimited transmission comes from our Masters. Remain joyful and humble.”

Rev Daaji announced that the Ministry of Culture in association with Heartfulness (as the convenor) is organizing the World Spirituality Mahotsav 2024 in the month of March.

A short video on the life of Babuji Maharaj was also played that sparked inspiration among many. The entire year is dedicated to 125th anniversary celebrations of Babuji Maharaj. This particular Bhandara was clubbed with Lalaji Maharaj’s birth anniversary on Basant Panchami so as to enable the practitioners and participants plan their journeys to Kanha Shanti Vanam well in advance.

About Heartfulness: Heartfulness offers a simple set of meditative practices and lifestyle changes, first developed at the turn of the twentieth century and formalized into teaching through the Shri Ram Chandra Mission in 1945 in India with a goal to bring peace, happiness, and wisdom to one heart at a time. These practices are a modern form of Yoga designed to support contentment, inner calm, and stillness, compassion, courage, and clarity of thought, as the first step towards a purposeful life. They are simple and easily adopted and are appropriate for people from all walks of life, cultures, religious beliefs, and economic situations, who are over the age of fifteen. Ongoing training in Heartfulness practices continues at thousands of schools and colleges, and over 100,000 professionals are meditating in corporations, non-governmental, and government bodies worldwide. More than 5,000 Heartfulness Centers are supported by many thousands of certified volunteer trainers and millions of practitioners in 160 countries.
