DIYA KUMARI LAYS THE FOUNDATION STONE OF TWO WATER TANKS IN VIDYADHAR NAGAR

Jaipur, 21 January: Deputy Chief Minister and MLA from Vidyadhar Nagar constituency, Diya Kumari formally laid the foundation stone of water tanks in Brij Colony of Ward No. 6 and Nirmal Vihar Colony of Ward No. 12. These water tanks are being constructed under Bisalpur-Prithviraj Nagar Drinking Water Scheme.

Vidyadhar Nagar has been facing the problem of drinking water for years. Now the construction of water tanks has begun at a rapid pace under the Bisalpur-Prithviraj Nagar Drinking Water Scheme.

On this occasion, Deputy Chief Minister said that the Bharatiya Janata Party had promised to provide basic facilities like electricity, roads and water to the people and now the implementation has begun. She instructed the officials of the water supply department to complete these projects soon and maintain the quality of work.

She further said that special care should be taken to ensure that the general public does not face problems due to technical faults in the supply of drinking water.

The capacity of the reservoir located in Brij Colony is 22.50 Lakh liters and in the coming time, a population of about 42,000 will be benefited from it. For this project, the water supply department is laying a new pipeline of about 61 kilometers. This work is expected to be completed by August 2025.

From this tank, Ward No. 6's Shastri Upvan Colony, Richa Colony, Shree Residency Colony, Ratnu Farm Colony, Swastik Colony, Shivani Vedanta Colony, Shiva Nagar, Sitaram Puri, Raman Vihar, Govind Nagar-13, Hanuman Nagar, Brij Colony, Balaji Vihar, Bhagwan Nagar, Ganesh Nagar, Ishwar Nagar Colony and many other colonies will be benefited.

The capacity of the reservoir being built in Nirmal Vihar is also 22.50 Lakh liters and upon completion of this project, a population of about 45,000 will be benefited. About 88 kilometers of new pipeline will be laid for this project.

From this tank, ward number 12 and 13 of Vishwanath Dham, Salasar Vatika, Balaji Vihar, Defense Colony, Nangal Jaisa Bohra, Narsingh Nagar Colony, Anand Vihar, Govind Colony, Nirmal Vihar, Shyam Nagar Colony, Jagdish Nagar, Green Park, Fakira Nagar. Many colonies of the area including Ram Nagar, Trilok Vihar Colony, Khiladi Ki Dhani, Shyam Kunj Colony, Raj Vatika will be benefited.

Diya Kumari said that it is my effort to ensure that there is no water problem in Vidyadhar Nagar in the upcoming summer season and that everyone can get water as per requirement. This tank construction is a beginning in the same sequence.
