Jaipur, December 2: The 10th convocation ceremony was successfully organised at Manipal University, Jaipur on 2 December. A total of 2166 graduates of the 2022-2023 batch were awarded degrees in this ceremony. On this occasion, Honourable Governor of Rajasthan, Kalraj Mishra was the Chief Guest.
At the convocation ceremony, 1770 undergraduate, 396 postgraduate and PhD students from Engineering, Management, Commerce, Humanities, Journalism and Mass Communication and many other academic disciplines received their degrees from the Chief Guest. Along with this, the Honourable Governor awarded gold medals to 58 meritorious students. It is noteworthy that 9 promising students of this university, who have made excellent contribution in the field of sports at the national and international level, were honoured with certificates and prize money of Rs 15 Lakh.
The programme began with the conduct of academic posts, in which the Governor along with the President of Manipal University, Jaipur, Prof. G.K. Prabhu, Pro-President Prof. Jawahar M. Jangir, Registrar Prof. Nitu Bhatnagar, Dean of all Faculty, Director and Controller of Examinations, Prof. Dasari Nagaraju were present. In this programme which began with the national anthem, the university's National Anthem was also sung. Later, the President of the University, Prof. G.K. Prabhu welcomed the Chief Guest, Honourable Governor Kalraj Mishra by presenting him a bouquet. In his address, Prof. Prabhu highlighted the important achievements made by the university in the past years and said that the university has been on the path of continuous development since its inception till now. Along with this, he heartily congratulated the Chief Guest, respected educationist, students and their parents present at the ceremony and said that Manipal University, Jaipur is determined to make its invaluable contribution in the society and nation building by achieving new heights in the field of education.
Governor Kalraj Mishra heartily congratulated all the graduating students for the degrees they received through their hard work and dedication. Addressing the students, he said that the process of education and learning should continue continuously. Because there is no end to education and knowledge. Education is meaningful only if it builds personality and character and helps in becoming a human being, making an invaluable contribution to the progress of the society and the country through his knowledge and skills. Governor appreciated the contribution of Manipal University, Jaipur in spreading education and said that this university is playing an important role in the overall development of the students. He appreciated the efforts of the university to provide professional education related to innovation, research and economic self-reliance and praised the university management and congratulated him heartily.
It is noteworthy that the Honorable Governor began his address with the Preamble of the Constitution of India and while describing the fundamental duty in detail, explained to the students that rights are created through duties. Therefore, it is the fundamental responsibility of every person in India to pay more attention to his duties than his rights and make significant contribution to the society and nation building by making good use of his education and skills.
Pro-President, Dr. Jawahar M. Jangir in his welcome address welcomed the Chief Guest, all the students, parents and dignitaries who came to the function. He said, "your presence is a matter of pride and excitement for the university." While exhorting the students, he said that with the education and knowledge you have acquired from this university, you will create a better future and solve every challenge coming in the society.
In the end, Dr. Nitu Bhatnagar, Registrar of Manipal University, Jaipur, honoured the Governor, Principal Secretary of his office, Subir Kumar, other honoured guests, parents, teachers, university management, all the employees and all the students.
