Jaipur, 1 December: On the occasion of World AIDS Day, Rays Aasha Ki Ek Kiran, alongside with the support of Positive YUVA Network Association and Mano Matrix, organised a Walkathon at Jawahar Circle in Jaipur. The collective goal was to amplify awareness and solidarity in the battle against HIV/AIDS.
The event saw an inspiring turnout, with approximately 300-400 individuals from diverse backgrounds including children joining hands in support of this crucial cause. The Walk-A-Thon symbolized the shared journey towards raising awareness, understanding, and extending compassion to those impacted by HIV/AIDS.
Co-founder of Rays Aasha Ki Ek Kiran, Gurinder Virk said that at Rays Aasha Ki Ek Kiran, the pivotal importance of community unity in combating this global health issue is understood. Therefore, this event was designed not only to raise awareness but also to dispel myths, promote education, and create an environment of mutual support and understanding.
He further informed that the heart of our collective effort lay in the informative discussions, “where we tackled prevalent myths and facts about HIV/AIDS. Through engaging interactions, we aimed to foster a deeper understanding and a more inclusive approach to supporting affected individuals. Together, through collaborative efforts like these, we aim to cultivate a more informed, compassionate, and supportive society for those affected by HIV/AIDS.”
