In the heart of the school community, a group of passionate students— Sahana, Sharraw, Parth, Shashank, and Reshma —ignited conversations about menstrual hygiene through the "Periodt" campaign. They are redefining the norms, breaking taboos, and ensuring every student can access essential menstrual hygiene products without stigma or struggle.
Sahana, a member of the Periodt team, says, "Our goal with Periodt is to create a world where menstruation is no longer a hushed topic. It's about fostering an environment where everyone can access menstrual hygiene products without hesitation. Shashank adds, "We believe that understanding and respecting menstrual hygiene is a crucial step toward achieving gender equality. Periodt is our way of championing this cause."
Nutrify the Needful: Nourishing Bodies and Souls
Senior secondary students at Oakridge Bachupally have launched the "Nutrify the Needful" campaign, extending a helping hand to those in need. The team comprises Aashish, Ganesh, Kedar, Hrithwik, Sahas, Tejas, Rahul, Shikhar, and Aditya. They are committed to serving simple yet nutritious meals and work tirelessly toward Sustainable Development Goal 3: Good Health and Well-Being. Their efforts have touched the lives of many, whether through hospital drives or visits to old age homes.
A proud member, Aashish, a "Nutrify the Needful" team member, reflects, "Our mission is clear: we want to make a meaningful difference in people's lives, one meal at a time. Through Nutrify the Needful, we are nurturing both bodies and souls."
Eleos: Lighting the Path to Education
The "Eleos" team, comprised of Neha, Tanisi, Varuni, and Chytrita, aims to empower underprivileged children through education. Their goal aligns with Sustainable Development Goal 4: Quality Education. Recently, they visited a government school, offering educational support and fostering a love for learning among young minds.
Neha, a driving force behind Eleos, passionately states, "Education is a beacon of hope, and through Eleos, we are illuminating the path to a brighter future for these children. It's not just about academics; it's about empowering them to dream big and reach for the stars."
Varuni echoes this sentiment: "Investing in education is an investment in a brighter, more equitable future for all. We are breaking the cycle of poverty and inequality through technology and education."
