Thiruvananthapuram, October 12, 2023: Ms. Nicole Manison, Hon'ble Deputy Chief Minister of the Northern Territory (NT), Australia along with delegation comprising of NT govt delegates, Australian Consulate delegates from Chennai and NT business delegates visited Technopark to explore the collaboration opportunities for increased bilateral engagements between Northern Territory, Australia and Kerala IT.
At the event held at Park Centre, Technopark, Dr. Rathan U Kelkar IAS, Secretary, Electronics & IT Department welcomed the delegation and in his opening address gave an insight about Kerala state and its vibrant IT ecosystem. Ms. Nicole Manison, Hon'ble Deputy Chief Minister of the Northern Territory in her keynote address gave an overview of Northern Territory and NT’s potential business opportunities and it was followed by a series of discussions/presentations by Consul General Sarah Kirlew, DITT CEO Shawn Drabsch, Investment Commissioner Kelly Ralston and the business delegates of NT.
From Kerala IT fraternity, Col Sanjeev Nair (Retd) CEO Technopark gave an insight about Kerala IT and Technopark. An interactive session subsequently followed on collaboration prospects between the two territories (NT & Kerala) of their respective countries for increased bilateral engagements. Dr G Levin CEO KSpace, Sreekumar V Secretary G Tech, Professor Alex James from DuK, Vishnu V Nair CEO G Tech and the Space/IT Industry leaders of Kerala actively participated during the interactive session with the visiting dignitaries, that generated immense interest in the field of energy, digital technology, space, defence etc. The event culminated with CMO IT Parks Manjit Cherian giving the vote of thanks.
