CABINET MINISTER MAHESH JOSHI LAUNCHES E-VEHICLES AT AMBER FORT

Jaipur, 11 August. E-Vehicles were introduced at Amer Fort with the aim of promoting tourism in Jaipur and preserving the environment and heritage. This initiative has been taken by E-Fuel Automotives. Cabinet Minister, PHED, Government of Rajasthan, Mr Mahesh Joshi was the Chief Guest on the occasion. He officially launched the e-vehicles by flagging them off at the elephant stand in Amer. At the event, Director, Tourism, Government of Rajasthan, Dr Rashmi Sharma; Director, Archeology and Museums Department, Jaipur, Government of Rajasthan, Dr Mahendra Khadgawat, Director and Advisor, E-Fuel Automotives, Mr Kuldeep Singh Chandela and Mr Mahipal Singh were also present. A delegation of RATO (Rajasthan Association of Tour Operators), led by its President Mr Mahendra Singh Rathore were also present.

After the inauguration, Mr Mahesh Joshi said,  “Tourism is a huge sector in Rajasthan and there is immense potential for the development of tourism here. The E-Vehicles launched today are all the more important to protect our forts and heritage from pollution and preserve. The way the use of e-vehicles is being promoted around the world today, it is also a great effort from the environmental point of view. I congratulate both the tourism department and the archeology department for this innovation"

Mr Kuldeep Singh Chandela informed that according to the guidelines of the National Green Tribunal (NGT), the use of green fuel-e-fuel is being promoted to protect and preserve our forts and heritage from pollution. As an effort for this, these e-vehicles have been introduced for commuting to Amber Fort. At present, the initiative has started with 10 vehicles, which will be increased to 25. Its fare (two-way) will be Rs 100-150 for Indian tourists and Rs 300 for foreign tourists. These vehicles will take tourists from the elephant stand to Amber Fort.

Director, Tourism, Government of Rajasthan, Dr. Rashmi Sharma said that these e-vehicles will not only facilitate tourism, but will also promote e-vehicles in the State. Presently, along with the environment, it is also very important to preserve our heritage.

Director, Department of Archeology and Museums, Jaipur, Government of Rajasthan, Dr Mahendra Khadgawat said that Amer is one of the most favorite monuments for tourists in Rajasthan. It is very important to protect it and save it from pollution. In this direction, the introduction of these e-vehicles will prove to be very beneficial.
