Jaipur, 10 August. E-vehicles are being introduced at Amer Fort as an initiative by ‘E-Fuel Automotives’ with an aim to promote tourism, save environment and heritage in Jaipur. It will be launched on Friday (11 August) at 12 noon from the elephant stand in Amer. The Director and Advisor, ‘E-Fuel Automotive’, Mr Kuldeep Singh Chandela informed that the Cabinet Minister, PHED, Government of Rajasthan, Mr Mahesh Joshi will be the Chief Guest for the launching event. Principal Secretary, Tourism, Government of Rajasthan, Gayatri Rathore will be the Guest of Honor. Director, Tourism, Government of Rajasthan, Dr Rashmi Sharma and Director, Archeology and Museum Department, Jaipur, Government of Rajasthan, Dr Mahendra Khadgawat will also be present.
Mr Chandela further said that according to the guidelines of the National Green Tribunal (NGT), the use of green fuel - e-fuel is being promoted to protect and preserve our forts and heritage from pollution. As an effort for this, e-vehicles are being introduced for reaching Amer Fort. He also informed that in the beginning, 10 vehicles will operate and their number will be increased to 25. Its fare (two-way) will be Rs 100-150 for Indian tourists and Rs 300 for foreign tourists. These vehicles will go from Hathi (Elephant) Stand to Amer Fort and back.
