MAHARAJA PADMANABH LEARNS THE NUANCES OF FRESCO ART
Jaipur, 1 June. HH Maharaja Sawai Padmanabh Singh created a painting to learn the nuances of Fresco art in the ongoing Cultural Heritage Training Camp today. The camp is being organised under the joint aegis of Maharaja Sawai Man Singh (MSMS) II Museum, Rangreet Art School and Saraswati Kala Kendra.
On this occasion, Sawai Padmanabh stated that this camp has been organized with the aim of teaching traditional arts to budding artists. We are pleased that there is enthusiasm among the young generation to learn traditional and endangered arts.
Under the guidance of renowned artist Dr. Nathulal Verma, children are actively participating in learning the technique of fresco, Ala Gila method and creating drawings based on motifs from the wall paintings of the City Palace.
The Camp Coordinator and Artist, Mr. Ramu Ramdev mentioned that the camp has also started teaching students the verses from the National Scripture of India, the Bhagavad Gita, under the direction of Pandit Shiv Datt Vyas. Along with learning Vedic mantras, children are excited to learn the verses of the Bhagavad Gita. In this, children will also be taught about the cultural heritage. He further informed that training in traditional arts like Dhrupad, Kathak, flute, calligraphy, etc. are also being imparted in the camp. Mahendra Kumawat, Santosh and Ram Ratan are assisting in the making of the fresco plates.
