Abu Dhabi, May 2023: The Repton Family of Schools in the UAE, part of Excella, a leading operator of high-performing K-12 schools, announced the inaugural Repton Olympics, to provide students with a variety of sporting opportunities in a safe and competitive environment. 120 students from Year 7 and Year 8 across Repton Dubai, Repton Al Barsha and Repton Abu Dhabi, competed across three different sports, including Futsal, Netball and Swimming.
Repton Abu Dhabi was crowned the winner for the nail-biting Futsal match, while Repton Al Barsha attained the champion’s title for a thrilling display in the Netball finals. For the swimming competition, 48 students from all three schools participated in 50m Freestyle, 50m Backstroke, 50m Breaststroke, 50m Butterfly, 50m Medley Relay, and 50m Freestyle Relay. Repton Al Barsha took first place for the swimming competition. With a total of 28 points, Repton Al Barsha was defined as the overall ‘Games’ winner at the end of the games.
The sports event took place at Repton Abu Dhabi’s state-of-the-art sports facilities, which includes a rooftop tennis courts, three indoor sports halls and a six-lane 25m swimming pool.
