Writes to Chief Minister Regarding the Demands of the Family
MP DIYA KUMARI DEMANDS JUSTICE FOR RAMPRASAD MEENA
Jaipur, 20 April. Rajsamand MP Diya Kumari has written a strongly worded letter to the Chief Minister, Ashok Gehlot, condemning the incident of the suicide case of Ramprasad Meena, a resident of Chandi ki Taksal in Jaipur. The MP has urged in the letter to ensure justice to the deceased's family and to take prompt action on their demand letter.
MP Diya Kumari stated in the letter that late Ramprasad Meena was a victim of rampant corruption and political pressure in the Municipal Corporation, which led to mental harassment and then the drastic step of suicide. He made every effort to fight for his rights, but got disappointed at every level in the Municipal Corporation and the administrative system. This incident is a shameful one for the Government.
MP Diya further said, “I met the deceased's family members and was deeply affected to see their heart-wrenching pain. The wife of late Ramprasad Meena and both his daughters expect justice for their husband and father." The MP appealed to the State Government to take immediate and concrete action on the demand letter presented by his daughters. In addition, she has also demanded financial assistance and job opportunities for the affected family and strict action against the culprits involved.
