Jaipur, 12 April. The Department of Fine Arts at Manipal University Jaipur (MUJ) organized a calligraphy workshop. In this, as an instructor, internationally renowned calligrapher P. Parameshwar Raju of Hyderabad explained the techniques of calligraphy and typography art to the students. He described the story of Ramayana through pictures from the figures of calligraphy. 60 students participated in this workshop.
Head of the Department, Prof. Anant Kumar Ozarkar told that in the workshop, instructor P. Raju shed light on the Indian styles of calligraphy. He explained how calligraphy is used in various forms of art such as architecture, interior design, advertising, fashion design and textiles. Apart from these art forms, he talked about a new art style in which stories can be explained through figures made with calligraphy pens. In the workshop, he showcased the stories of Ramayana through calligraphic forms, which is a unique art form. Dean, Faculty of Design, Prof. Madhura Yadav; Director, Dr. Sampath Kumar; Workshop Coordinator, Shivanshi Bhushan and other teachers were present in the programme.
