Jaipur, 31 March. Achievers Polo team based at Jaipur has created history this season by winning 19 tournaments out of the 24, played as part of the Indian Polo Association, polo calendar 2022-23. No other team in Indian polo history has this success rate for 5 years running. The team won all three open Tournaments - Indian Open National Championship, Northern India Open Championship and Jaipur Open Championship played in this season and had the distinct privilege of winning most of the leading tournaments at Delhi, Jaipur, Jodhpur & Mumbai. This was informed by the co-owner and promoter of Achievers Polo Team from Jaipur, Mr. Vikram Singh Rathore, while addressing a press conference.
Mr. Rathore stated that Achievers Team became the only team in Indian Polo history to win the Indian Open consecutively for last 5 years. The only other team that comes close in terms of performance and results to this team is the famous “Jaipur Tigers” led by His Late Highness Maharaja Sawai Man Singh of Jaipur in 1932-33 polo season, where the team won most of the leading Polo Tournaments.
Achievers Polo Team is co-owned and promoted by Ms. Parul Rai from Delhi and Vikram Rathore from Jaipur. They have been fielding teams in all tournaments at Delhi, Jaipur, Jodhpur & Mumbai for the last 10 years. In their endeavours to promote & popularise polo, they have given opportunities, exposure and help with better quality imported horses and polo infrastructure to some of the future stars of Indian Polo including HH Maharaja Sawai Padmanabh Singh of Jaipur, Kuldeep Singh Rathore, Siddhant Sharma, Hurr Ali, Vishwarupe Bajaj, Dino Dhankar etc. to name a few.
The team based at Mundota Palace Polo Grounds, Jaipur has its own polo grounds, practise arena, schooling arenas, 80 stables and over two dozen imported polo ponies from Argentina & England besides other training facilities.
The team has been sponsored by Sahara India, DS Group, DB Realty etc. for last many years.
