Jaipur, 13 February: The prestigious 14 goal Carysil Jaipur Open for HH Brigadier Maharaja Sawai Bhawani Singh tournament begins today and will be held till 19 February. This tournament has been sponsored by Carysil. This is for the third consecutive year that the Carysil is supporting Polo in Jaipur. This trophy was instituted in the year 2012 by the Royal Family of Jaipur in the memory of late HH Brigadier Maharaja Sawai Bhawani Singh and since then played regularly in the Jaipur polo season. This was informed by Ambassador FIP, Maharaj Narendra Singh at a Press Conference at Rajasthan Polo Club today.
Vice President, Pan India, Sales Carysil Mr. Jairaj Nair said that it is the endeavour of Carysil to make Jaipur the best destination for polo in the country with participation of the best national and international players. It will also be a great opportunity for the spectators of the sport.
There will be four teams playing in this Tournament – Jindal Panther/Carysil, Chandna Polo, Vimal Arion and Sujan Indian Tigers. The high handicap polo players participating in the tournament are: Mr. Manolo Llorente (+6), Matias vial Perez (+6), Chris Mackenzie (+6), Daniel Otamendi (+5), Salvador Jauretche (+5), Simran Shergill (+5), HH Maharaja Sawai Padmanabh Singh (+4), Siddhant Sharma (+4), Abhimanyu Pathak (+4), among others.
Also present on the occasion was Secretary, Rajasthan Polo Club, Mr. Digvijay Singh and players of the participating teams.
