CII Welcomes Rajasthan Budgets’ special focus on Employment, Health, Education and Tourism
The Rajasthan Budget presented by Shri Ashok Gehlot, Hon’ble Chief Minister Rajasthan, today is focused on Employment, Health, education and tourism. The State Budget is a growth-oriented and with a renewed focus on social security which will help in sustained growth of the State.” said Mr Gaurav Rungta, Chairman, CII Rajasthan. At CII, we appreciate the increased focus on creating physical infrastructure, healthcare spending, agriculture and Tourism development. The budget carries a fine balance between social development and economic development, added Mr Rungta.
Exemption of Stamp duty for Startups, reduction of Capital investment under RIPS scheme from 50 crore to 25 crore, reduction of VAT to 2 % for aviation fuel, Announcement of drinking water facility for all high-rise buildings in the state through PHED, expenditure of Rs 75 crores to set up 50 battery charging units in the state for electric vehicles, artificial Diamond manufacturing business under sunrise business in RIPS 2022, reduction of taxes on diesel vehicles and to be made equal to petrol vehicles, introduction of Social Security scheme, increase insurance amount of Chiranjeevi yojana and introduction of Transport amnesty scheme are welcome steps.” said Mr Gaurav Rungta, Chairman, CII Rajasthan today at Jaipur.
Many of the points related to Amnesty Scheme; Tourism; Stamp Duty, DLC Rates have been accepted by State Government, added Mr Rungta. Some of the important points which were demanded by CII and were announced by Hon’ble CM in
today’s budget are as follows:
• Extension of Mining Lease
• Reduction of DLC Rates to 5 %
• Extension of Amnesty schemes including VAT and RIICO extended upto to September 2023
• Removal of contract demand rider for Captive Solar Power Plants
• Freight subsidy under RIPS 2022
• Inclusion of sick industries under RIPS if renewing the same business again
• 5 % Stamp duty on new townships under Rajasthan Township Policy
• Co Working space for Startups and MSMEs in RIICO industrial areas
• Promotion of Green and Net Zero buildings in the State
