Closing the Care Gap: Karkinos Healthcare leads the charge on World Cancer Day in Kerala
Kochi, 4th February, 2023: Karkinos Healthcare, a purpose-driven technology-led oncology platform, marked World Cancer Day with a series of events aimed at raising awareness and promoting early detection of the cancer. The activities, organized by Karkinos across Kerala, brought together healthcare professionals, community leaders, and the general public in a concerted effort to close the cancer care gap and improve outcomes for cancer patients.
The day's events took place at multiple Karkinos Cancer Centre locations, including Kochi, Thiruvananthapuram, Kothamangalam, Ponkunnam, Thodupuzha, Chottanikkara, Trissur, Edappal, Kattanam, Munnar and Murikkassery. The activities organized included poster competitions, craft exhibitions, flash mobs, awareness talks, and screening camps. These initiatives were designed to educate the public on the importance of early detection and provide them with the opportunity to get screened for cancer. The events also served to bring the community together and create a sense of solidarity in the fight against cancer. The goal of Karkinos Healthcare is to provide quality and accessible cancer care to all, and these World Cancer Day activities were a step towards that goal.
