Chennai, 26th January 2023: Indian Bank today celebrated the nation’s 74th Republic Day at its Corporate Office and Head Office, Chennai. Shri S L Jain, MD & CEO of Indian Bank hoisted the National Flag in the presence of Shri Imran Amin Siddiqui, Shri Ashwani Kumar and Shri Mahesh Kumar Bajaj, Executive Directors of the Bank. A guard of honour was presented by the guards of the Bank.
In his Republic Day address, Shri SL Jain recalled the contribution and sacrifices of our Great Leaders in establishing free India and resilient and relentless efforts by the Bank’s pioneers. He appreciated the Indian Bank team for their significant contributions to the growth of the Bank which reflected in the Q3 results announced yesterday.
As a part of its CSR initiatives, Bank committed sponsoring 1000 cataract procedures for the poor and needy people through Sankara Eye Foundation, India. Shri S L Jain handed over the token sanction ticket to Ms. Deepa Dhanalakshmi, who represented the Foundation. Further, in observance of the ongoing Swachhta Pakhwada, saplings were planted at the Corporate Office premises.
An in-house choir paid musical tribute to the nation and its freedom fighters during the event which saw participation from other senior officials, staff members and their family members.
