Kochi, January 20, 2023:The 23rd of January is commemorated annually as Elite Foods and Innovation Group's Founders Day. Each year, in conjunction with the festivities of Founders Day, a marathon race is held with numerous humanitarian initiatives. The emergence of this activity on Founder's Day was motivated by their ongoing efforts to give back to society as much as they can, and recent years have shown great promise in terms of granting opportunities to the underprivileged. Last year Marathon, which was held at Thrissur, the group has provided financial support to three Olympic hopefuls in their quest to proudly represent India in the 2028 Olympics, and 15000 meals to underprivileged children.
This year Elite Founders Day Marathon is scheduled to take place on January 22, 2023, in Ernakulam, Kerala, as one of the major mass events of the year. This event has become one of the most significant events. For every kilometer that is run, Elite Foods and Innovation Group would feed a nutritious meal to an underprivileged child. As part of the prizes, a total of INR 3,00,000 will be awarded. The public-spirited activity falls under the Elite Foods CSR umbrella and is being done to give back to society and its people.
The Durbar Hall Ground will be the Marathon Venue for all the participants, and the entry will start at 4.00 a.m. on the morning of January 22, 2023. There are various categories that are open for participation, which include the 21 KM, 10 KM, 5 KM (lite run) and 2 KM (kids run) segments.
The event participation at the Flag off and concluding session of the Marathon will be graced by the presence of Shri. P. Rajeev, Hon’ble Minister of Law, Industries & Coir, Shri. Hibi Eden, Hon'ble MP, Ernakulam, Shri T.J. Vinod, Ernakulam MLA, Shri K.J. Maxi, Kochi MLA, Shri. Shajahan S, Dy Collector, Ms Anciya, Deputy Mayor, Ernakulam Corporation, Senior Police Officials, President, Secretary and Sports Council Officials, Corporation Counselors, and Senior Sports persons. The Group is also honouring leading personnel in the area of Sports/Athletics/Coaches/ etc. who have attained laurels at the state and national levels.
