Jaipur, 17 December: The 'SK Finance World Health and Wellness Fest', the mega event of health and wellness in Jaipur, began with enthusiasm today. Held at Entertainment Paradise, Jawahar Circle, this Fest is being jointly organized by SK Finance and Sanskriti Yuva Sanstha. The festival began with a 'Let's Drum Jaipur' drumming session in which over 2,000 people drummed together on the directions of the drum instructor, Mr. Prakash. People of all age groups participated with full enthusiasm in the session. The purpose of this session was to infuse energy among the people through the sound of drums, rhythm and music. It is noteworthy that this program is being shown live in about 50 countries.
Addressing the audience, the Chief Guest of the program, HH Acharya Dr. Lokesh Muni highlighted the ways to adopt a healthy lifestyle. Emphasizing on the old proverb 'Pehla Sukh Nirogi Kaya', he said that keeping the body healthy is the greatest happiness, but keeping the mind healthy along with the body is the need of life in today's time. Wellness has emerged as a new attraction among people. Meditation and Yoga have become a way of living a healthy life. He said that in this run-of-the-mill life, take some time out for yourself and try to lead a disciplined life.
Earlier, at the beginning of the program, Chairman of the Organizing Committee of the Fest and Vice Chairman of JECRC University, Mr. Amit Agarwal welcomed all the guests on the stage. After this, all the guests lit the lamp together while chanting mantras. Later, Mr. Mukesh Mishra, co-founder of the Fest, briefed the audience about the sessions of the event. In this series, Dr. Sudhir Bhandari, Chief Patron of the Fest and Vice Chancellor of RUHS, in his address said that this Fest is a unique effort to spread awareness about health and wellness among the people. During these two days, experts from various fields including mental, spiritual and education will throw light on various aspects of health and wellness.
The President of Sanskriti Yuva Sanstha, Pt Suresh Mishra said that Covid has taught us how important it is to stay fit. The Fest is being organized with the aim of creating awareness among people about health and wellness. He said that through the various sessions in this Fest, everyone will get an opportunity to learn about keeping oneself healthy and protecting oneself from diseases. Mr. Rajendra Setia, MD, SK Finance, said that this two-day program is a good opportunity for people to know about diabetes and other serious diseases in detail and take advice from experts regarding all health-related problems. After this Mr. Narishant Sharma thanked all the guests.
The inaugural session of the Fest was followed by several motivational and impactful sessions. The first session was conducted by Dr. Mickey Mehta on the topic 'Wellness 8 to 80 — 360 Degree'. This session was moderated by Mr. Ravi Goenka and Dr. Jayshree Periwal. During this session, Dr. Mickey Mehta shared tips to increase height with the audience. He mentioned that stretching, healthy diet, cycling, swimming, yoga, etc. have proven to be helpful for increasing height. During the session, he demonstrated various yoga asanas with help of children and also highlighted the importance of yoga and cosmic nutrition. This was followed by 'All About Diabetes—How to Stay Healthy' and various other sessions like 'Myths and facts about organ transplant', 'Brain Health for All', 'Lifestyle Related Musculoskeletal Disorders', 'Living Well With Kidney Disease', 'Freedom to Breathe', 'Recent Developments in Cancer Care', 'Digital Healthcare', 'Impact of Film on Wellness', 'OG Roadie Rannvijay Singha's Fitness Mantra', Osho Omkar Meditations etc.

The second day's activities will begin with a yoga session by Himadri Bhatnagar. After this, yoga can also be done under the guidance of Lulu Berton. On the second day of the Fest, one thousand people will do 10-10 pushups. In this way, an attempt will be made to create a world record by doing a total of 10,000 push-ups. Apart from this, tomorrow’s sessions will include Dr. Sanjeev Sharma and RJ Karthik's 'Dil Ki Baat Dil Se, Hardam Kar Kadam'; 'Medical Tourism—Scope in Present Scenario' by Abhik Moitra, Ranjan Thakur, Dalip Kumar Chopra; Dr. Sundeep Jain's 'Journey of Abdominal Cancer Patient Diagnosis to Rehabilitation'; 'Benefits of Mental Health' by Dr. Samir Parikh; 'Antibiotics: Myths and Facts' by Dr. Pankaj Anand; Amit Vajpayee's 'Words and Our Wellness'; N. Raghuraman's 'Fundamentals of Wellness Management'; 'Financial Wellbeing' by Rajendra Setia and Mandira Bedi; Mandira Bedi and Anita Hada Sangwan's 'Life Journey' will be organised. After the closing ceremony, there will be a 'heal with music' show by Dr. Sameer Sharma, Dr. Jitendra Makkar and IPS Prassan Khamsera.
