Thiruvananthapuram, Nov. 23: Dr Verghese Kurien Hall, constructed at the Head Office of Trivandrum Regional Cooperative Milk Producers Union (TRCMPU) of Milma at Pattom here, will be inaugurated by TRCMPU Administrative Committee Convener Shri N Bhasurangan on November 24 (Thursday), at 11 am.
The Hall has been constructed as a tribute to Dr Verghese Kurien, the Father of India’s White Revolution, whose birth anniversary is celebrated as National Milk Day.
TRCMPU Administrative Committee Member Shri V S Padmakumar will preside over the function. TRCMPU Administrative Committee Member Shri K R Mohanan Pillai and Managing Director Shri D S Konda will also attend the function.
On the occasion, seminars for students of schools in the city on “Milma, its history and contemporary relevance” and “The role of students in anti-drug activities” will be held.
