Jaipur, 19 November: On the occasion of UN Memorial Day (UN World Day of Remembrance for Road Traffic Victims) on Sunday, November 20, Jaipur city's Muskaan Foundation in collaboration with The Palace School Jaipur will pay tribute to the people who lost their lives in road accidents and pay tribute to their families. Various aspects of road accidents will be brought to the fore through interaction with them. This programme will be organised in the open theatre of Ravindra Manch from 6 pm. Director General of Police, Shri Umesh Mishra will be the Chief Guest on this occasion. With the aim of remembering and supporting the victims' families, the UN has kept the theme of this day 'Remember', 'Act' and 'Support'.
In the programme, about 350 children from more than 35 schools of the city will sing tribute songs and give the message of caution and safety on the road through various musical and theatrical performances. On this occasion, Trustee of Muskaan Foundation for Road Safety, Dr. Mridul Bhasin said that this is the sixth year when Muskaan Foundation is organizing this day with its resolution to take the message of road safety to the masses.
It is worth noting that United Nations World Remembrance Day is commemorated every year on the third Sunday of November all over the world with the aim of learning from the memory of the people who were hurt and killed in road accidents and to pay tribute to them. This day is observed in 58 countries around the world, in which many people including educational organisations, social organisations and citizens participate.
