Kochi: November 11, 2022: As part of the state-wide "No To Drugs" campaign against increasing drug dependency, techies of Infopark Kochi conducted a rally ‘Techies run against drugs’ pertaining to the increasing drug usage and its prevention. Kerala State Youth Welfare Board and IT employee welfare groups Prathidhwani and Progressive Techies in association with Infopark set up the rally. A. A. Rahhim, MP flagged off the rally which saw participation of hundreds of techies. Vice Chairman of the State Youth Welfare Board, S. Satheesh presided over the event.
‘Increasing usage of drugs irrespective of age is a concerning plague that is affecting our society. Kerala is a society that does not hesitate to recognize and work towards rectification of its mistakes. The interventions of the State Youth Welfare Board for this purpose are noteworthy,’ said A. A Rahhim, MP at the inauguration event of ‘Techies run against drugs’. He also extended his complete support to the techies of Infopark for organising the awareness campaign.
Chairperson of Thrikkakara Municipality, Ajitha Thankappan, Ayyanad Co-operative Bank President, K. T. Eldho, Cardiologist, Dr. Jo Joseph and Youth Welfare Board District Co-ordinator Renjith addressed the gathering.
The event flagged-off by A. A. Rahhim, MP started from the Infopark Expressway and continued for 3 km and concluded at Infopark campus with a pledge taking ceremony.
