Hyderabad, October 29, 2022: IKP Knowledge Park (IKP) is celebrating its 22-year journey through its 16th flagship International Knowledge Millennium Conference, IKMC2022 at HICC on October 29 & 30, 2022.
IKMC2022 - Sculpting the NEXT: Enabling a Future-ready India will deliberate on how ecosystem enablers like IKP can help innovators and industry solve problems of tomorrow impacting the health of humans and that of the planet through application of emerging technologies, and help India become future-ready.
Dr. R A Mashelkar, Chairman, New Energy Council of Reliance Industries and former DG, CSIR and presided over the Inaugural Ceremony. Prof A J te Velthuis from Princeton University, USA and Prof. Uday Desai, Founding Director and Prof. Emeritus, IIT Hyderabad were the Keynote Speakers focused on ‘Emerging Technologies Shaping the Future’.
Ms. Deepanwita Chattopadhyay, Chairman & CEO, IKP said, “IKP completed 22 years of operation this October 28. The dream that prompted the founders to start this unique experiment of creating a 'world-class centre for leading-edge business-driven research' in a 200-acre Science Park in Hyderabad, over time has grown into a vibrant pan-India innovation ecosystem. While there is much to celebrate and we are proud of our journey, we also recognise that innovation players have to be much more agile today to be able to react to the rapidly evolving technologies on the one hand and the global disruptions caused by climate change and the pandemic on the other, and their impact on businesses, economy and society. The structures of yesteryears may not be the most efficient for the needs of tomorrow. How should India make itself ready to embrace these changes and what are the next generation innovation tools and products that ecosystem enablers like IKP should build to help India become future-ready? The conference will deliberate on some of these issues through keynote addresses, panel discussions, roundtables and workshops in three focused tracks”.
Industry and Academic experts will deliberate on “Scaling Biologics”. Dr. Kiran Mazumdar Shaw will be providing her insights, followed by two Round tables moderated by Utkarsh Palnitkar, Cross Border Ventures, and GS Krishnan, President of ABLE. Experts from around the world gather to discuss under the theme of “One Health Approach to Sustainability”. Speakers include Dr. Ramanan Laxminarayan, One Health Trust, Dr. Krishna Ella, Bharat Biotech, Prof. Christopher McDevitt, University of Melbourne, Dr. Sindura Ganapathi, Govt of India, Vikram Gopal, Ascend Performance Material. On 30th, the conference is expected to cover Digital Healthcare for a Future Ready India and Agri Opportunities. The conference ends an address by Jayesh Ranjan, Principal Secretary, Industries and Commerce and IT, Govt of Telangana, and a Valedictory Address by HK Mittal, The Chairman of the Startup India Seed Fund.
Around 600 delegates and guests are participating in IKMC2022 from across India spanning large companies, start-ups and innovators, incubator managers, experts, investors, government officials and policy makers.
A Startup Product Exhibition where 80 selected startups in healthtech, medtech, biopharma, industrial biotech, agritech and AI & ML from across India are presenting their technologies. An eminent panel of jury will select the most promising solutions in different categories for cash award and mentorship. This year IKP has introduced an online Meme Contest on the topics of One Health and Startup Funding to explore the language of creative expression of GenZ.
