Jaipur, 1 October: Under the aegis of Faculty of Law, Manipal University Jaipur and Ranka Public Charitable Trust, 8th International Manipal-Ranka Moot Court Competition was inaugurated. The theme of the competition is “Arbitration Law”. The inaugural ceremony was bestowed with the eminent presence of Chief Guest Hon’ble Mr. Justice J B Pardiwala (Judge, Supreme Court of India), Special Guest for the event would be Hon’ble Mr. Justice K S Jhaveri (Former Chief Justice, Orissa High Court) and Guest of Honour Hon’ble Mr. Justice M M Shrivastava (Acting Chief Justice, Rajasthan High Court). The competition witnessed participation of law students from India and abroad approx. 50 universities
Hon’ble guests appraised the law students about the activities of the court and ask them to keep themselves updated about the subject of Law. The Guests also wished the competition all success.
The ceremony witnessed the gracious presence of Dr. G.K. Prabhu (President, MUJ), Dr. N.N. Sharma (Pro-President, MUJ), Prof. (Dr) Nitu Bhatnagar (Registrar, MUJ), Prof. (Dr.) Jayaram E. R. (Dean, Faculty of Law) along with Hon’ble Justice J.K. Ranka, Smt. Urmila Ranka and other legal luminaries. Prof. Vijaylaxmi Sharma (Director, School of Law) and Dr. Sony Kulshrestha (Head, Dept. of Law). Mr. Siddharth Ranka (Secretary, Ranka Public Charitable Trust) conveyed vote of thanks on the auspicious occasion. The entire event was smoothly conducted by Asst. Prof. Mr. Prabhpreet Singh and Ms. Nishtha Acharya.
