Chennai, September 2022: SIMATS School of Engineering provided a three-day English Communication Workshop for first-year Physical Education students of SIMATS. The workshop focused on communication skills, with different activities given by the faculty facilitators to help participants improve their speaking abilities. The participants were enthusiastic about English as an international medium of communication that is widely used to interact and communicate on a daily basis.
The knowledge of English language is now becoming one of the essential skills for any person in the field of sport. The multicultural diversity at international competitions, as well as the large number of sports professionals working and competing globally, increased the demand for a higher level of English knowledge. "English is not as difficult as many people believe. Anyone can learn the language by starting with the practicing the same. If you practice the language and read books, you can expertise the language, "said the Director - Dr. Ramya Deepak, and motivated the students. Our respected Founder and Chancellor Dr. N. M. Veeraiyan supports and appreciates such initiatives towards learning and teaching. More than 120 student participants benefited greatly from this skill-oriented communication workshop.
