Kochi, September 12, 2022: It was festive mood at Infopark here as part of Onam celebrations. Processions and cultural programmes, including pulikali, theyyam and chenda melam made it a grand spectacle. The celebrations, jointly organised by the district administration, district tourism promotion council and Infopark, was inaugurated by PV Sreenijan, MLA. Kerala IT Parks CEO John M Thomas, Infopark Manager (Administration) Regi K Thomas, DTPC secretary Shyam Krishnan and Thrikkakkara municipal Councillor Abdu Shana were among the many present.
The celebrations saw massive participation with employees of Infopark and the companies in it and officials of SISF Kerala Police. They were all part of the procession held on the Infopark premises as a precursor to the district-level Onam celebrations. It was a riot of colours for the procession that had theyyam, kavadi and pulikali. Cultural programmes at the Athulya auditorium included folk song, thiruvathirakali, mimicry, chakyar koothu and DJ.
At the Infopark Technology Business Centre in Kaloor, staff and family members joined the celebrations. As part of this, competitions like pookalam, sundarikku pottu thodal and musical chair entertained the crowd.
The ‘Techie Onam’ at Infopark Thrissur in Koratty was inaugurated by Chalakudy MP Benny Behanan. It was organized by the sports club. Kerala IT Parks CEO John M, Koratty grama panchayat member Varghese Thachuparamban, Infopark Assistant Manager (Administration) Sajith NG, Junior Officer (Administration) Anil M and event coordinator Jose Anto were present. More than 100 employees of 40 companies at the park participated in the celebrations. Competitions such as uriyadi, vadamvali, musical chair and Kerala Sriman-Malayalee Manga were also held and Koratty grama panchayat president Biju PC distributed prizes to the winners.
The Onam festivities at Infopark Cherthala were inaugurated by Alappuzha MP AM Arif. Chennampallipuram panchayat president TS Sudheesh, ward member Shiji, Infopark Junior Officer (Administration) Anil M and Assistant Manager (Marketing) Pradeep Kumar VP were among those present. Employees of various Infopark companies took part in the cultural programmes like Onapattu, thiruvathirakali, lemon spoon race, uriyadi, slow bike race and musical chair.
