Jaipur, 3 September: Maharaja Sawai Padmanabh Singh (+4) will lead the Indian Polo team for the XII FP World Cup Zonal Playoffs to be held at Inanda Polo Club at Johannesburg in South Africa from 6 to 12 September . The other members of the team are Shamsheer Ali (+4), Siddhant Sharma (+4), Kuldeep Singh Rathore (+3), Gaurav Sahgal (+3), and Naveen Singh Tanwar (+3). Samir Suhag will be the coach and manager. The winning team will play the World Cup Finals at Palm Beach in Florida. The Indian team leaves on 6 September.
Based on Maharaja Padmanabh's Polo skills and talent, he is one of the youngest polo players to have been selected in Indian World Cup for the second time, but has also been selected as the captain this time.
It is to be noted that the late Maharaja Sawai Bhawani Singh had presented the Polo World Cup trophy in 1987.
