Hyderabad, August 2022: Telangana Chamber of Events Industry (TCEI)&Telangana Event Facilitators Association (TEFA), hosted the TCEI - TEFA World Photography Day Event, to commemorate the World Photography Day, at Aalankrita Resort, today. Chief Guest Mr Jayesh Ranjan, IAS, Principal Secretary, Department of Industries & Commerce and Information Technology, Government of Telangana; inaugurated event. Guest Speaker and Photography Business Coach from Delhi, Abdullah Ansari; Surat Singh Malhotra, Founder President, TCEI; Madan Chand Jain, Veteran Lensman and Founder of Victory Photo Centre; Balaram Babu, President, TCEI; Manoj Kumar Innani, President, TEFA; Shravan Madiraju, President, TEMA; Neeru Mohan, Vice President, TEFA; Sandeep Jain, Secretary, TEFA; Azmath Ali, Jt. Secretary, TEFA; Pavan Agarwal, Treasurer, TEFA; TEFA EC Members Vipasha Kiran, Jigna Mehta, Wasif Akther and Sant Rohit and leading lights and members of the photography fraternity were present, on the occasion.
The Chamber celebrated the one-day event by organizing professionally enriching engagements including lectures by eminent photographers, panel discussions and a photography contest to unearth and showcase the latent talent of promising photography professionals. Renowned Wedding Photographer from Delhi, Abdulla Ansari, delivered the key note address on Wedding Photography - Bada Business, shared anecdotes from his rich experience and insights on how to make Wedding Photography business profitable.
Speaking on the occasion Mr Jayesh Ranjan said, congratulate TCEI and TEFA for recognising the work of some of the doyens of photography not just from our city but from elsewhere. We all know since ages photography has contributed immensely in preserving our history, in advancing knowledge about different aspects of human life and social life. As technology has evolved we now have the ability to utilise photography for more critical uses like surgery, medicine and many more. It has become a hobby, in a way everyone is a photographer with our phone serving as camera as well. We also have some very serious photographers who have been able to chronicle some momentous occasions in the world around us. I am happy that several of the veterans here are going to share their insights and experience. Though everyone is a photographer today due to the devices we have, but still they can be taught how to compose a photograph, because composition matter a lot, though evolving technology of cameras is important but how do you frame the pictures is vital. There are two kinds of photographers, one set who constantly capture every moment without respite and another who look for the opportune moment and click, we need to see how we can encourage and impart the right skills for the second set of photographers to capture the memorable and best moments. Through these kind of sessions right knowledge sharing happens and we should witness more and more artistic and creative photographers dominate the scene in days to come.
Event industry is delighted to celebrate the day of Photography. Photographers are an integral and vital part of the Event fraternity. Shutterbugs fetch us the limelight and applauds. Constantly encouraging and aiding photographers to enhance their skills is of paramount significance for both the professions to be in the public glare and garner appreciation for our talent, says Balaram Babu, President, Telangana Chamber of Events Industry. TCEI has an extremely talented bunch of photography professionals, their experience and skill needed to be recognized and celebrated and here we are felicitating them and their wonderful work. This happens to be the busiest wedding season ever and still photographers from all over the state took out time to attend this landmark event. Photographer is the only professional who can audaciously ask the biggest of the dignitaries or even a someone in a gloomy mood, to smile, he added.
Manoj Kumar Innani, President, TEFA; said, we all cherish being clicked, especially those memorable moments for posterity and are thankful to the photographers for capturing those memories.
Shravan Madiraju, President, Telangana Event Managers Association; said, photography is a huge business opportunity today, there is enormous demand for professional photographers with inherent talent to capture those special moments.
Veteran Lensman and Founder, Victory Photo Centre Madan Chand Jain, said, photography was an art in the past, but today technology dominates and the art aspect is relegated, whoever is savvy with technology overshadows other photographers. I learnt photographer from my father, who was an official photographer for British Army from 1935 and since then it has become our family profession with our third generation into it. In the past photography was in black and white, in negative and on roll film, from there we have come quite a distance. When USA President Bill Clinton visited Hyderabad, I was fortunate to be the chosen photographer to capture his pictures at Mahaveer Hospital.
Eminent photographers from the city were felicitated on the occasion in recognition of their significant contribution to the profession. The Lifetime achievement Awards were presented to Madan Chand Jain, Founder, Victory Photo Centre; Lenny Emanuel, Premier Studio; Gunshe Ramchandani, Fotocafe Studios; Arvind Chenji, Chenji Communications; Ramana, Villart Studio and Saravana Kumar. The winners of the photography contest in the categories of Best Model Shot was photographer Vipul; Best Couple Shot was photographer Dilip and Best Alankrita Shot was photographer Pradeep, they were felicitated and presented with the prizes.
