Jaipur, August 19: Manipal University Jaipur (MUJ) will provide 'Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav Scholarship' to as many as 75 students. A sum of Rs 3 crores will be provided as incentive in these scholarships. This scholarship will be awarded on the basis of merit. This announcement was made by the President of MUJ, Prof. GK Prabhu to mark the 76th Independence Day celebrations. Along with this, special incentive awards will also be given to 75 faculty members.
The 76th Independence Day celebrations were celebrated with enthusiasm at the university on Monday. On this occasion, MUJ President, Prof GK Prabhu said that today we are celebrating the 'Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav'. Every Indian is filled with enthusiasm. We are remembering the sacrifice of our great freedom fighters who fought to make our country free. It is our responsibility that we all contribute in the development of the country at our level. On this occasion, he also highlighted the development journey of Manipal Group and highlighted the achievements of MUJ. The University Registrar, Dr. Neetu Bhatnagar, all Deans, Directors, Heads, teachers and students were present on this occasion.
*'Prabhat Pheri' organised with 75 bikes *
A 'Prabhat Pheri' was also taken out by Manipal University Jaipur. In this, 75 young bikers went to Dahmi Kalan and Begus villages raising chants of Bharat Mata Ki Jai. The villagers welcomed the 'Prabhat Pheri' with the cheers of patriotism.
